Sunshine Coastal Art was born from a passion for resin art and a deep connection to the ocean. My journey began in 2020 after relocating to the vibrant Sunshine Coast, where the beauty of the coast inspired me to master the craft of resin artistry. Today, I channel that inspiration into creating immersive, ocean-inspired workshops where creativity flourishes.

What workshops do you offer?

At Sunshine Coastal Art, we offer a variety of creative workshops to suit all interests, including:

Resin Art: Create stunning ocean-inspired artworks using epoxy resin. We can also cater for abstract art with our various techniques using a high-grade quality resin.

Alcohol Ink Art: Learn various ink techniques with vibrant ink colour selection on a choice of substrates.

Jewellery Making: Design your custom jewellery pieces using resin and other creative materials.

Candle Making: Craft your own beautiful, scented candles to customise your resin art piece.

Do I need any experience to join the workshops?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels from complete beginners to experienced artists. Our instructor will guide you step-by-step through the process to ensure a fun, relaxing, and creative experience.

What is included in the workshops?

Each workshop includes:

All materials required for the session (including pre-prepared, primed items for resin art and high-quality supplies for other workshops).

Expert instruction and guidance throughout the workshop.

Tools needed to complete your artwork, such as heat guns, air dryers, glue guns, gas torches and more.

Light refreshments.

Personal Protective Equipment (aprons, gloves, face masks, etc.) are provided.

How long do the workshops last?

Our workshops typically run between 3 to 5 hours, depending on the type of resin workshop you attend. Resin artworks require additional time to cure, so please plan for at least 24 hours for the resin to set and up to 7 days for full curing.

What do I need to bring?

All materials and PPE (aprons, gloves, face masks, etc.) are provided. Just bring your creativity and excitement! Wear comfortable clothing as some materials may get messy. If you would like to purchase additional accessories, they will be available on the day.

Is there an age requirement for the workshops?

Our workshops are designed for participants aged 16 and older. Children aged 12 to 16 are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian, with a signed waiver. For safety reasons, we do not recommend our workshops for pregnant individuals.

How do you accommodate people with disabilities?

We are committed to ensuring that everyone can enjoy the creative experience. Our studio is wheelchair accessible, and we make efforts to accommodate participants with different abilities. If you have specific requirements or need assistance with mobility, please contact us prior to booking so we can arrange any necessary support to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for you.

What if I have allergies or sensitivities to certain materials?

If you have concerns about allergies to materials like epoxy resin, paints, or fragrances, we recommend consulting with a medical professional before attending. Your health and safety are our top priority, and we are happy to discuss any concerns you might have.

How much do the workshops cost?

The cost of our workshops varies depending on the type and length of the session. Generally, prices range from $150 to $550 per person. For detailed pricing, please check our website or contact us directly for more information.

How do I transport my artwork home?

Your completed artwork will be securely packaged in a custom-sealed box for safe transport. If you are local, you can collect it the next day. Please keep your artwork flat for 24 hours after the workshop to allow proper curing. Resin takes 24 hours to set and up to 7 days to fully cure.

Can I purchase additional accessories?

Yes! We offer a range of optional accessories, such as wooden boats, surfboards, turtles, starfish, shells, and more, which are available for purchase on the day of your workshop.

Do you offer group or private sessions?

We offer both group workshops and private sessions. If you’re planning a special event or group activity, such as a team-building session, please get in touch with us to arrange a private class tailored to your group's needs. We can cater for large groups and offer a 10% discount for 8 or more people. (cash, card, direct debit or afterpay only)

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes! Gift vouchers are available for purchase, allowing the recipient to book any of our workshops. They make a perfect gift for anyone looking to try something creative and fun.
